Bientôt 9 mois Privacy Policy
This policy transparently explains how Bientôt 9 mois collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use the website, prediction games, Baby Registries, Keepsake Album or Chrome extension.
Data controller
The data controller is the sole proprietorship MLE BOULAY CLEMENCE LUCIE, SIRET 844 789 990 00018, located at 33 rue des Chaussumiers, 37230 Fondettes, France. You can contact it at contact@bientot9mois.fr.
Data we process
Depending on the services you use, we may process:
- Account and contact: last name, first name, email address, hashed password, postal details, country, city and communication preferences;
- Prediction games: relationship with the parents, answers, scores, messages, photos and information provided about the pregnancy, birth or baby;
- Baby Registries: registry title and content, products, categories, links, photos, product images, prices, reservations, contributions and delivery address;
- Keepsake Album and orders: content and photos selected for the album, preview, order, billing, payment and delivery information;
- Technical data: IP address, browser, device, security logs, pages viewed and actions performed, depending on your cookie choices;
- Chrome extension: the information described in the dedicated section below;
- Consent records: your choices and the date and history of their changes.
Uploaded or selected photos are personal data when they make a person identifiable. Mandatory fields are identified when data is collected. Without them, we may be unable to create an account, record an entry, manage a registry or fulfil an order.
Purposes and legal bases
- Performance of the service or contract: create and manage your account, games, registries and albums; record entries and reservations; process orders, payments and deliveries; provide requested support; and send communications essential to the service;
- Consent: send optional notifications, use non-essential cookies and use or disclose certain data for commercial purposes when you have selected the relevant checkbox;
- Legitimate interests: secure the service, prevent abuse and fraud, diagnose errors and improve performance, while respecting your rights;
- Legal obligations: retain accounting records, respond to lawful requests and comply with tax and regulatory requirements.
You may refuse or withdraw consent without losing access to core features that do not rely on that consent.
Visibility of games, registries and entries
Shared games and registries can be accessed by anyone who has their unique address; this address is not a password. Titles, messages, photos, products and birth information displayed on these pages may therefore be viewed by recipients of the link.
Prediction answers used for rankings may be visible to other participants. Private details such as email address, surname, postal address and private messages are visible only to the creators of the game or Baby Registry, namely the parents.
Before sharing a link, review the published content. You may edit or delete your content from your account, except where information has already been used for a confirmed order or must be retained by law.
Commercial use and disclosure to partners with your consent
No data is made available to commercial partners on this basis unless you select the optional checkbox by which you agree to receive personalised offers and promotions and authorise commercial use of your data.
If you select this checkbox, Bientôt 9 mois may create a commercial profile and sell or disclose some or all of the following categories to selected partners, depending on the criteria and fields selected by the partner:
- identity and contact: first name, surname, email address and, where applicable, postal address;
- location: country, postcode and city;
- profile: parent, parent-to-be or relative, and where applicable family, friendship or professional relationship;
- birth-project or baby information: pregnancy or birth status, due date, birth date, age in months, sex and baby’s first name;
- registry information: whether a registry exists, its creation date and product categories of interest;
- participation and activity: source of the contact, prediction score, last activity, seniority, profile completeness or quality score and consent date.
This data may be used to select profiles, perform market analysis, create commercial segments or scores, personalise offers and conduct direct marketing. Photos, private messages and content accessed by the Chrome extension are not sold or disclosed to commercial partners for these purposes.
You may withdraw this consent at any time from “My account” or by contacting us. Withdrawal stops new disclosures and removes your profile from the internal marketplace. It does not retrospectively invalidate processing already carried out. You may ask us which partners received your data so that you can also exercise your rights with them.
Recipients, service providers and transfers
Within the scope of their duties, data may be accessed by Bientôt 9 mois, the relevant creators and participants, commercial partners authorised by your consent, and our technical providers.
These providers include EVX Online/WEVOX for hosting; Stripe for payments, without Bientôt 9 mois receiving the full card number; Shopify for the shop and certain orders; Brevo, SendGrid or Mailjet for email; Google for Analytics, reCAPTCHA and Google sign-in; Facebook for the chosen sign-in method; Cloudflare Turnstile for abuse prevention; FlexiLivre for album production; and Sendcloud for shipping preparation and tracking. Only data necessary for each task is disclosed. Strictly necessary data may also be disclosed to authorised public bodies where required by law.
Firecrawl, ScraperAPI, ScrapingBot, Sendcloud, FlexiLivre and other providers apply their own retention periods. Please consult their respective privacy policies for details.
Keepsake Album
When the creator chooses to generate or order a Keepsake Album, selected information may be laid out and printed: parents’ names, baby information, photos, answers, scores, participants’ names, messages and photos. This processing is necessary to provide the preview and fulfil the requested order.
Content required for production and delivery is disclosed only to the relevant providers. After an order is confirmed, some data can no longer be changed in the copy already produced.
Chrome extension
The extension lets you add a product found on a merchant website to your registry. When you initiate the addition, it reads only the active page to extract available useful information, including the page address, product name, price, image and description. It sends this information, together with details required for authentication and registry selection, to Bientôt 9 mois to prefill or add the requested product.
If direct extraction fails, the address and technical content of that page may be entrusted to Firecrawl, ScraperAPI or ScrapingBot solely to retrieve the product details. They do not receive content from other tabs or unnecessary registry data.
The extension does not use this data to build browsing history, analyse other tabs, advertise, create a commercial profile or sell data. Added information is then stored like other products in your registry and can be edited or deleted from your account.
Affiliate links
Some links to merchant websites are affiliate links. If you click and make a purchase, Bientôt 9 mois may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. The merchant and affiliate platform may receive the product address, a technical campaign identifier, the click date and information required to attribute the sale; the link alone does not disclose private account content.
Platforms currently likely to be used are Amazon Associates, Awin, Kwanko, Effinity, Affilae, Sovrn and Partnerize, as well as direct merchant programmes.
Cookies and audience measurement
Strictly necessary cookies support session management, security and authentication. Audience measurement, tracking, social-media, affiliate or marketing cookies may also be used.
Google Analytics may receive the IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed and actions performed to generate statistics. Google Search Console also provides aggregate statistics about the site’s visibility in search results; its use by Bientôt 9 mois does not by itself place a cookie on your device. Third-party content or services may apply their own policies.
Retention periods
Inactive accounts: an account is considered inactive after two years without a sign-in. We then send an initial warning email. If no new sign-in occurs, a reminder is sent three days before deactivation, and the account is deactivated thirty days after the initial warning. Deactivation prevents access to the account but does not immediately delete its data.
If the account remains inactive, it is permanently deleted three months after the initial warning, approximately two months after deactivation. Games, registries, entries, products and photos linked to the account are then deleted, except for data that must be retained to comply with law, fulfil or track an order, or defend our rights. Operations are processed in batches of fifty accounts, so completion may occur shortly after the announced date. Signing in before deactivation stops the procedure.
- commercial data is used until consent is withdrawn or, at the latest, for three years after your last active contact; the marketplace profile is removed during the next processing operation after withdrawal;
- support messages are retained for three years after the request is closed;
- files required to produce an album are retained until the order is fulfilled and then, unless a dispute arises, for three months;
- order data, invoices and accounting records are retained for ten years where required by accounting law;
- technical and security logs are retained for twelve months, unless an incident requires longer retention.
You may request deletion of your account without waiting for these periods from your personal area or by contacting us. At the end of the applicable periods, data is deleted or anonymised unless intermediate archiving is necessary.
Security
We apply technical and organisational measures designed to protect data against loss, alteration, disclosure and unauthorised access. These include encrypted communications, password protection, access restrictions, logging and backups. As no system offers absolute security, we regularly adapt these measures to identified risks.
Information about third parties and minors
When you publish a photo, message or information about a parent, participant, child or any other person, you must ensure that you are authorised to do so and inform that person where required. For a child, the decision must be made by a person with parental authority, in the child’s best interests and with respect for their image rights.
Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your data, restriction of processing or data portability. You may object to processing based on our legitimate interests and to any direct marketing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
You can manage preferences from “My account” or write to contact@bientot9mois.fr. To protect your data, proof of identity may be requested where there is reasonable doubt. We generally respond within one month.
If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL).
Changes to this policy
This policy may be amended to reflect changes to services, providers or law. If a material change is made, we will notify you appropriately and request renewed consent where required.
